Charles Bridge experience highlights

You will gradually explore more than 30 sculptures and statues. You will find out what they hide and understand their meaning. You will learn that every stone figure on Charles Bridge is shrouded in a colourful history, yet connected to our present.

We have incorporated historical facts about the Charles Bridge and the statues into the experience, mostly with details you wouldn't notice on a normal tour.

Small hints via online chat will introduce you to the characters on the statue, suggest what to look for, what to explore in more detail. The symbolism and hidden elements on the statues will give you a new perspective on understanding the individual figures and their meaning.

On your way, you will play a quiz sightseeing game. You will always choose one of three options. The correct answer will be given to the one who uses his/her observation, logic, memory and imagination. The clues are always hidden around you.

WhatsApp application

You just need to have the WhatsApp app installed on your phone, through which all in-game communication takes place. The game will chat with you.

Game beginning

After registering and paying for the game, you will receive an email with instructions, phone number, time and location of the start. So the first task of your team will be to be at the right place at the right time.

Game start

On the spot, just paste the phone number you received into WhatsApp. You choose which language you want to play in. Then enter your Booking number and PIN. And the first question can begin*.

*Of course, it depends on the battery capacity of your phone, but we recommend starting with a fully charged phone!

Amazing!

Absolutely awesome quiz game. I really enjoyed it and it gave me a lot. It really piqued my interest in Charles Bridge, and up until then I knew nothing about any of the statues on Charles Bridge. I would define this game as a successful gamification of historical facts.

I want to go again!

Even a few days after attending the game on the Charles Bridge, it's still in my head. The game is not played on time, which really suited us. We had fun exploring the statues, bouncing around for answers, and taking in the magical scenery. I'll definitely be inviting more friends to the game and re-freshing what I should know as a native Prague citizen. For me, an awesome game in a phenomenal location.

A unique game.

Charles Bridge has a unique atmosphere. Game, fun, interesting information for all. And we really enjoyed discussing it in the café afterwards. We were three friends on the bridge and we wanted to enjoy New Year's Eve in Prague in an original way. And it was very successful. Thumbs up. It was quality time in a beautiful place.

Game system

The unique quiz game is prepared for you in detail and will communicate with you via chat on your smartphone.

All you have to do is walk along the Charles Bridge, explore the clues sent to you and click on the correct answers. For each correct answer you will receive a certain number of points. You can compete against others in your group or, alternatively, work together as a team. The game will evaluate each player's score at the end.

1. Where does the game start ?

The game Charles Bridge starts on Křížovnické náměstí. You will receive more precise instructions after registration.

2. What time exactly does the game start ?

You can start playing the game within 15 minutes of paying for your reservation. You can choose to start the game at any time within 60 minutes of the time you have selected for your online booking.

3. How many players is one game for ?

One game can be played on up to four mobile phones simultaneously. One team can therefore consist of up to 4 players. Players can work together and confer on the correct answers. Or, on the other hand, each answer for themselves and see who was the most skilful in the end. If your group is larger, we recommend to form more teams and order more games.

4. Is it possible to pause the game during the game?

You can pause and resume the game at any time if you wish. The game communicator will simply wait for your reaction. The game can be finished within the next 12 hours.

5. Even if I have no prior knowledge, will I be able to play?

It doesn't depend on historical knowledge or the local history of the area. And whether you're visiting for the first time or have lived here for years. The quiz game gives everyone an equal chance. All the answers are hidden around you. We also recommend that you always read the assignment very well.

6. What language is the game in?

You can choose to communicate with the game in English right at the start of the game.

7. If I register more than one team for the same hour, won't they interfere with each other on the route?

Don't worry about it. Each team moves at a different speed, and when individuals or teams start a few minutes apart, they may clash at certain points, but it's certainly not a hindrance to the game. On the other hand, each interaction with a different player or team adds adrenaline to the next move 🙂

8. Will my phone work?

Mobile data and the WhatsApp app installed are the only conditions for this to work. Make sure your phone has mobile data activated for the Czech Republic.

9. How much will it cost me to play the game?

If you have a mobile data package on your mobile phone, you will be able to interact with the game for free. The mobile data volume for the game is no more then 20 Mb.

10. What phone number should I use to start the game?

After ordering the game, you will receive simple instructions. Use the QR code to join the WhatsApp conversation. Or enter the phone number you received for the game directly into the WhatsApp app.

11. How long does the game take to return an answer?

You will always get an answer immediately or within a few seconds, depending on the game settings.

12. Is the game suitable for children?

City Games are fun for those who like a challenge, want to exercise their observation and know how to use a mobile phone. Children as young as 8-10 years old can join the game. Younger children are more likely to play as an accompaniment. Buy them a croissant and try throwing it to the seagulls on the bridge - see what happens 🙂
